Anoxia Causes
Anoxia may be caused by severe asthma, strangulation, heart attack,anesthetic accidents, poisoning, carbon monoxide inhalation and even medical conditions such as whooping cough, acute pancreatitis and SARS.
Anoxia Definition
Anoxia is a medical condition where there is lack of oxygen in the body to supply it to the person's organ tissues. It is also known as hypoxia inasmuch as they refer to same condition where there is not enough oxygen needed to supply the organ tissues of the body.
Anoxia Diagnosis
Diagnosis includes physical examination and observation of symptoms. It may also includes blood tests and imaging tests such as MRI, CT Scan and X-rays to rule out other possible causes and to determine the extent of the condition.
Anoxia Symptoms and Signs
Symptoms includes sudden seizures, myoclonic jerks where there is muscle spasms or twitches in the muscle, stiffness of the neck and sudden unconsciousness.
Anoxia Treatment
Treatment includes restoration of oxygen supply, cardiovascular restoration and undergoing treatments focusing on how to establish an adequate airways in the body.
