Entropion can either be caused by genetic mutations or a congenital birth defect. Trachoma infection can as well aggravate the presence of entropion.

Entropion refers to a medical condition wherein the eyelids tend to fold inward. This situation can be very annoying since the eyelashes that rub against the cornea may cause friction and irritation.
Entropion Diagnosis
The condition is diagnosed by physical eye examination.
Entropion Symptoms and Signs
Among the symptoms of the condition are sensitivity to light, sagging of the skin surrounding the eye, redness and itchiness of the eye, frequent tearing and reduced vision.
Entropion Treatment
Entropion can be treated by excising the excess skin of the outer eyelids.
