Frambesia, also known as yaws, is a chronic infectious disease common in places with tropical climate. It often affects children below 15 years of age.

Diagnostic tests for the disease include physical examination of the symoptoms.
Frambesia Symptoms and Signs
The main symptom of the disease is red bumps that occur in the different parts of the skin. They soon cause itchiness and swelling, and after which they succumb to fever and chills.

The disease is treated by anti-inflammatory drugs to help reduce the swelling and infection.
