Hyperinsulinemia
Hyperinsulinemia Definition
Hyperinsulinemia is a medical condition in which excess amounts of circulating insulin are found in the blood. This is common among people with diabetes mellitus type 2. It is often linked with metabolic syndrome. The condition is caused by insulin resistance as well as pancreatic cancer. Because of high levels of insulin concentrated in the blood, other organs suffer from inadequate insulin levels resulting to hypoglycemia.
