The symptoms of hypermagnesemia include weakness, vomiting, difficulty in breathing, hypotension, chest pains. Hypermagnesemia occurs together with hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia.
Hypermagnesemia Treatment
Hypermagnesemia can be treated by intravenous calcium gluconate, intravenous diuretics and dialysis, in order to withdraw excess amounts of magnesium.
