It is the second most common gene in the long QT syndrome, and it involves mutations in chromosome 7. The Long QT syndrome type 2 leads to the blockage of cardiac action potential to potassium channels. This syndrome is brought about by overdose to drugs such as erythromycin, ketoconazole and terfenadine.
