Lymphomatoid Granulomatosis Definition


It is a an angiocentric and angiodestructive lymphoreticular proliferative disorder which commonly affects the lungs, skin and the central nervous system.


Lymphomatoid Granulomatosis Diagnosis


Biopsy of the lymph nodes, historical evaluation of tonsils, bone marrow, liver, bowel and skin are the most common way of diagnosing the disease. Other test includes bone and chest x-rays , lymphangiography, liver and spleen scan.


Lymphomatoid Granulomatosis Symptoms and Signs


Common symptoms include cough and dyspnea, sputum production, fever, weight loss and malaise. Erythematous macules, papules also shows and extensive lymphocytic infiltration of meninges also are found to patients.

There is currently no cure to this disease but there is a protocol being run by Dr. Wyndham H. Wilson at the NIH which has had extraordinary results in which a significant percentage of participants see extended remission periods.
