Osteochondritis Definition
Osteochondritis describes a special variety of joint diseases involving the abnormality in the cartilage and/or bone development. OCD typically affects the elbows, shoulders, or knees. This is normally brought about by joint degeneration due to wear and tear.

Osteochondritis Treatment
Some OCD lesions may not cause lameness and will probably not require specific treatment. In some cases, surgery may be required to prevent the possibility of lameness.
