Psoriatic arthritis is a disease that spawns out of psoriasis. When a psoriasis-infected patient suffers from arthritis and joint pain, psoriatic arthritis has become present. It has five types, symmetric, assymetric, arthritis mutilans, spondylitis, and distal interphalengeal predominant.

Psoriatic arthritis can be diagnosed under medical observation, or when patients with psoriasis begin to complain from muscle and joint discomfort.
Psoriatic Arthritis Symptoms and Signs
Main symptoms that occur during the onset of the disease are aching and stiffness of the joints. Severe cases may lead to bone deconstruction and calcification. Nails are also affected by the disease.
Psoriatic Arthritis Treatment
Treatment for psoriatic arthritis is the same as rheumatoid arthritis. NSAIDs are given to help reduce the inflammation of the disease, and joint injections are administered to cure a few affected joints. For advanced stages of psoriatic arthritis, recombinant DNA technology is used to prevent further joint destruction.
