It is said to be cause by cancer cells that usually cause by chronic irritation of the kidneys by smoking, analgesic nephropathy and exposure to chemicals.
Ureter Cancer Definition
Ureter Cancer or the Transitional cell cancer of the renal pelvis or ureter is a cancer that grows in the urinary system that is either on the kidney which is responsible for collecting urine or the pelvis which empties the urine into a tube called the ureter that leads to the bladder.
Ureter Cancer Diagnosis
Diagnosis is made through complete blood count test, urine cytology, intravenous pyelogram or IVP, ultrasound of the kidneys, MRI of the abdomen and renal scan.
Ureter Cancer Symptoms and Signs
Symptoms includes back pain. Bloody urine, burning pain during urination, fatigue, frequent urination, sudden weight loss and flank pain.
Ureter Cancer Treatment
Treatment includes surgical removal of the kidney that has cancer cells, undergoin chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
